City prosecutor Reed Strucker discovers that his two teenage children Lauren and Andy are mutants... and that the government will stop at nothing to capture them. To save his children, Reed and his wife Caitlin must seek out the mutant underground and obtain their help.

Clarice's powers run out of control, threatening the Mutant Underground. Meanwhile, Jace threatens Reed, Lorna deals with life in prison, and Caitlin helps Marcos get the medicine they need for Clarice.

Reed has second thoughts about selling out the Mutant Underground to Sentinel Services. Meanwhile, Dreamer takes extreme measures to help Clarice focus her portal-generating power, and Caitlin turns to her brother for help.

Marcos turns to a former girlfriend for information on the convoy that is taking Reed and Lorna to a secure facility. Meanwhile, John and the others plan a rescue, but things go amiss when it turns out that Jace has a mutant of his own.

Lorna and Marcos capture Jace and interrogate him. Meanwhile, Reed offers to draw the police away to prove his loyalty to the mutant cause, while Caitlin, Lauren, and Andy try to save a dying mutant.

When Clarice leaves the underground, Marcos and John come up with an alternate plan to break into the Federal building... involving Reed and Andy. Meanwhile, Caitlin objects when Lorna starts training Lauren in how to use her powers offensively, and Jace increases his efforts to hunt down the mutant undeground.

Carmen calls in her "favor" with Marcos, who tries to hide it from Lorna. Meanwhile, Reed finds out about Wes' past, and Roderick introduces Jace to the Hounds.

John and the others capture a spy who may know the location of Trask Industries. Meanwhile, Reed confronts his father Otto, who reveals the history of the Strucker family.

Esme comes up with a plan to break into the Trask facility and rescue the prisoners, but it requires Andy and Lauren to go on a side mission that requires them to use their newfound joint power.

Esme puts her own plan into effect, convincing the Struckers to ask Jace to transfer the prisoners at Trask. Meanwhile, Roderick tests the extent of Andy and Lauren's powers.

The Frost triplets suggest to the Underground that they ally together, without revealing their connection to the Hellfire Club. Meanwhile, Lorna's powers continue to grow, and the Struckers prepare to leave the country.

The Frost Triplets convince the Mutant Underground to help them abduct Roderick from a Humanity First Summit. Meanwhile, the Struckers track down Ellen when they discover that she may know who Otto was talking with about his X-Gene research.

Jace and SS find the Underground HQ and launch an attack. Meanwhile, Lorna and Andy decide which side that they're on.
